Watching My Favorite Football Team Manchester City F.C.

As the English Premier League season starts, I am extremely excited about watching all of the games of my favorite professional football team, Manchester City F.C. After finishing fifth in the league table the previous season, I hope that they can do better this year.
There will be plenty of great weekends, as my friends and I gather in my living room and watch the English Premier League games on my premium movie channel. I hope to catch all of the exciting action on my big screen HDTV. Living in New York City, this is as close as I can get to the live action at the City of Manchester Stadium.
I was fortunate enough to watch some pre-season games, as Manchester played friendly matches in New Jersey, USA. However, I was disappointed as Manchester City F.C. lost against Sporting Lisbon and then to New York Red Bull. I really thought that my favorite team should have performed better. Maybe the losses were not surprising after all, as Manchester City played without some of their top players such as Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jerome Boateng, David Silva, Carlos Tevez, and Nigel de Jong.
When these players are on the pitch during the regular season, I am confident that Manchester City will play some great football, a lot better than what I've seen at Red Bull Arena in the friendly NY Barclays Challenge.
I have a lot of expectations from striker Emmanuel Adebayor. After scoring 14 goals last season, I am confident he could do even better if he stays healthy throughout the season. Despite some controversy with suspensions and question of character, Adebayor is one one my favorite footballers. The addition of defender Joleon Lescott should also do the team plenty of good. Let's hope that coach Mancini will lead Manchester City to the top.
