Trevor Fisher shot a second round 66 to grab a one stroke lead after 2 rounds. Fisher sits at 14 under par. Patrik Sjoland is one behind at 13 under par after shooting a second round 67.

The biggest mover of the day was Fredrik Andersson Hed who moved up 89 places after shooting a second round 66. Hed sits at 6 under for the tournament.


The loser of the day was Dion Fourie dropped 83 places and missed the cut after shooting a 68 on day one Fourie shot a 76 on day 2. Fourie missed the cut by three strokes.

Darren Fichardt who is 11th in the Race to Duabi standings failed to make the cut after shooting a 2 under par for 2 rounds of play.

Five Tied For Lead At Africa Open

Five golfers are tied for the lead after one round of the Africa Open. The Africa Open is the third tournament of the 2010 schedule for the European PGA Tour.

Trevor Fisher, Mark Haastrup, Titch Moore, Patrick Sjoland and Richard Sterne are all tied at the top after shooting a 7 under 66 at East London Golf Course.


Only three players ranked in the top 100 of the World Rankings are in this tournament. Richard Sterne is 94th in the world. Charl Schwartzel is 66th in the world, Schwartzel shot a first round 67. James Kingston ranked 83rd in the world shot a first round 68.

Ramsay Wins South Africa Open in Playoff

Richie Ramsay shoots a 65 in the final round to get himself in a playoff with Shiv Kapur. Ramsay would win after the tourney after one extra playoff hole.

Ramsay started the round five shots behind Pablo Martin from Spain. THis was the first win for Ramsay on the European Tour.

"There's no greater felling than winning and i'm just a flood of emotions- I'm holding back tears" Ramsay was quoted as saying following his win.

Three years ago Ramsay won the U.S. Amateur Championship.

Anders Hansen finished third. Pablo Martin who won at the Alfred Dunhill Championship Last week and was the leader after three rounds fell to a tie for sixth following a final round 73.

With the victory Ramsay who all most lost his card last year is now exempt till the end of the 2011 season.

Also, with the win Ramsay will move well into the top 150 of the world rankings.
