Bill Haas Wins Bob Hope Championship

Bill Haas won the Bob Hope Championship with a birdie on the final hole. Haas joins his father as a champion of the tournament. His father Jay Haas won the tournament in 1988.

Matt Kuchar, Bubba Watson and Tim Clark all finished one stroke behind in a tie for 2nd place.

Rookie Alex Prugh was two strokes behind for 5th place. This is Prugh first top 5 in his career.


Mike Weir was four strokes behind in sixth with D.J. Trahan six back in seventh place.

With the win Haas moves into a second place tie in the FedEx Cup standings behind Ryan Palmer.

Haas earned 900,000 dollars for his victory.

Bubba Watson was looking at going into Monday's final round with a two stroke lead but a double bogey on the last hole made it a two way lead.

Bubba Watson and Rookie Alex Prugh sit a 23 under par one stroke ahead of Bill Haas and Tim Clark. Joe Ogilive sits another stroke back at 21 under par for fifth place.


Kevin Streelman fired a 64 while Mike weir fired a 65 to be in a group of four players at 20 under par in a tie for sixth. Martin Flores and Matt Kuchar are also sitting at 20 under par.

Ryan Moore is in 10th place at 19 under par.

The cut came at 9 under par with many notable players not making the cut.

Rookie Alex Prugh grabs Bob Hope Lead

Two rookies are at the top of Bob Hope Leaderboard. Alex Prugh 21 under and Martin Flores 20 under are trying to start their rookie season of with wins.

Bubba Watson sits at 20 under also with Flores. Joe Ogilvie sits 4 behind at 17 under par.

Kevin Streelman shot the low round of the day with a 63. Streelman was playing the Nicklas Course.

Tim Clark, Chad Collins and Bill Haas all sit in a tie for fifth at 16 under par five storkes behind Prugh.
