An Aussie grabs lead at half way point of Qatar Masters

Aussie Brett Rumford has the lead at the half way point of the Qatar MAsters. Rumford sits at 9 under par after a second day 66.

Bradley Dredge sits at 8 under while Lee Westwood and and Oliver Wilson sit at 7 under par.

The cut was set at 2 over. players like Ian Poulter, Francesco Molinari, Thomas Aiken and Pablo Martin all failed to make the cut.


Rumford had seven Birdies with one bogey on his round. Rumford who has struggled with his game is looking to improve on his Tie for 64th that he got at the Abu Dhabi Championship.
