The 2010 European Tour started with a surprising win by Spainard Pablo Martin at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa.

Martin held off Charl Schwartzel by one stroke to win his first event of the tour as a pro.

Martin coming off a terrible 2009 season where he got only one top 10 finish looked strong from the opening round.


Martin shot rounds of 68-63-71-69 to finish the tournament at -17.
